"The Listening Fisherman"

I created a surreal dynamic between a towering, grotesque creature and a fragile childlike figure to highlight the imbalance of power inherent in being watched or “listened to” by someone with hidden intentions. The fisherman’s elongated nose, functioning as both lure and fishing rod, symbolizes how curiosity and vulnerability can be manipulated; it turns listening into an act of baiting rather than empathy. His unsettling smile and skeletal posture amplify the sense of quiet menace. He’s at ease, patient, comfortable in the shadows of his own fog.
